“Never forget a dish you were proud of”
How CookDiary started

We're Sophie and Jay, and CookDiary started because we wanted to remember why we cooked, not just what we cooked.

Sophie loved trying new dishes but could never remember the little tweaks that made them better the second time. Jay kept saying, “You need a way to remember what made you proud.” Eventually, we decided to actually build it.

CookDiary began as a way to capture our cooking memories – what worked, what didn't, and what made us feel confident. Over time, it became more than notes – it turned into a way to see how far we'd come, celebrate our progress, and finally feel like the cooks we wanted to be.

It's not about perfect instructions. It's about your cooking story – the one you're actually living.

Frequently Asked Questions

CookDiary is your personal cooking diary. Log every dish you cook, track how your cooking improves over time, get honest feedback from Crumbie, and build a personal cookbook of every recipe you've tried and made your own. You can also import recipes from TikTok, Instagram, or any website — but you don't need a recipe to log a dish. Just a name and how it went is enough.
Yes — share any TikTok or Instagram recipe directly to CookDiary and Crumbie will read it and save it for you. You can also import from any website or write your own from scratch. Your recipes live in your cookbook alongside everything you've cooked, so nothing gets lost.
